Animal Fact Sheets

A series of new animal fact sheets have been designed for elementary and secondary school students. Learn interesting facts about cougars and view a paw print in the snow. Read about how hummingbirds survive the winter. The web pages are richly illustrated with animal photos, tracks and silhouettes. Distribution maps developed by the NatureMapping Program show you where the animals live in the wild.

Welcome to the NatureMapping Program

Our goal is to keep common animals common and to maintain our quality of life. Our approach is to train individuals to become aware of their natural resources and to provide the tools to inventory and monitor their resources.
